Overprotected is a collection designed and finished during the pandemic in 2021.

The first pieces were started years ago, some beginning in 2017. The collection reflects the following four year period of coming out from the grips of other people + into Acid Cat’s own rights, sovereignty, + autonomy.

Working within and fighting with what they have, finding possibility + magic + energetic light in while within other’s constraints, Overprotected is an authentic piecework of authentic self scraping, growing, + glowing more and more outwardly.

The themes of Overprotected are integral to all of Acid Cat’s design + show up, develop, + evolve with every iteration of creation.
